Reflection

Through this stakeholder analysis, we were challenged to critically look at our project and all of the key players working on it. We concluded that Bidjanga and Pete are the major key players, with the most influence and investment in the project. Bidjenga has chosen to partner with Mr. Kamdem in Cameroon who has manufacturing partners in China, so they could have some relevant influence on the project, but could end up being overtaken by MECS in the future depending on how the project develops. We don’t entirely understand the strength of their connection or how committed to working together they are. We are coming in from a place of interest, in wanting to learn more about the project, but not from a place of major influence in the overall outcome. The future clientele are super important to the project and have lots of personal interest in becoming invested in the project, but do not have as much influence as they most likely should. We stated that almost everyone benefits from the future success of this project, but there is a sort of conflict between Mr. Kamdem and MECS as they are proposing different prototypes for solar cookstoves to be manufactured.
